How Mobile Car Detailing Works
Mobile car detailing means the detailer comes to you. Your car is cleaned at your home or workplace instead of at a shop, so there is no drop-off, no waiting room and no ride home to arrange.
- Choose a package and your vehicle. Prices are set by size: coupe or sedan, medium SUV, or large SUV, truck or van. The booking form shows your total before you confirm.
- Add extras if you need them. Seat extraction, pet hair removal, odor elimination and a few others are optional with the Full Detail. The Signature package already includes them.
- Pick a date and time. Choose an open slot on the calendar and enter the address where the car will be.
- Get the spot ready. We need a safe place to work, an outdoor water supply and a standard electrical outlet (details below).
- We inspect, confirm and detail. When we arrive, we look over the vehicle, confirm the service with you, set up, and work through each stage before a final check.
What We Need at Your Address
Right now we use your water supply and a standard electrical outlet rather than an onboard tank and generator. That means:
- An outdoor spigot and an outlet close to where the car is parked
- A reasonably level, safe space with room to open all the doors
- Permission to use both if you rent, live in a condo or townhouse community, or book at work
Many HOAs and condo associations set rules about washing cars on site or using shared outlets, and so do some employers and office parks. If you are not sure, check with your association or property manager before you book. If there is no spigot or outlet near your parking spot, call 848-318-7880 first so we can confirm the job will work at your address.

What the Full Detail Includes
Outside: pre-wash, hand wash and dry, deep cleaning of the wheels and tires, bug and tar removal, and cleaning of the glass and door jambs.

What the Xclusive Signature Adds
Everything in the Full Detail, plus seat and carpet extraction, steam sanitation, pet hair removal, stain and odor treatment, interior protection, and a ceramic spray sealant on the exterior. All of it is included, with no add-on charges. It is our most complete interior car detailing option.

The One-Step Paint Correction starts with a hand wash, paint decontamination and clay treatment as needed, then one stage of machine polishing to improve gloss and reduce light swirls and haze. The Two-Step adds a compounding stage before the finishing polish, for paint with heavier swirls. Both finish with paint protection.
Ceramic coating goes on all painted exterior surfaces after polishing. It adds gloss and water beading and makes washing easier. Coating prices depend on paint condition, and the final figure is confirmed before work begins. Interior detailing, glass coating and wheel coating are priced separately. We do not offer paint repair or bodywork. Scratches deep enough to catch a fingernail, chips and dents need a body shop.
Maintenance Plans
For drivers who want the car kept clean rather than rescued every few months:
- Maintenance Refresh, every 2 weeks: interior clean, exterior hand wash, and care for the wheels, tires and glass. From $119 per visit for a coupe or sedan and $139 for an SUV, truck or van.
- Signature Maintenance, once a month: a deeper interior and exterior clean covering surfaces, carpets, wheels, tires, glass and hard-to-reach areas. From $149 per visit for a coupe or sedan and $179 for an SUV, truck or van.

Thorough vacuuming and mat scrubbing are part of every Full Detail, and carpet extraction helps when sand is mixed with salt, spilled drinks and ground-in dirt.
Road Salt and Brine in Winter
New Jersey roads are treated with salt and brine through the winter. The residue dries white on the wheels, lower doors and door jambs, and it gets tracked onto the carpets and mats as crusty salt stains. The Full Detail covers the wheels, tires, door jambs and floor mats; the Signature adds carpet extraction for salt-stained floors.
Pet Hair and Odors
Dog hair weaves into fabric seats and carpet and rarely comes out with a vacuum alone. Pet hair removal and odor elimination are available as add-ons or come included in the Signature. Results depend on how deeply the hair or smell has worked into the materials, and we will tell you what to expect when we inspect the car.
Spills, Stains and Sticky Surfaces
Coffee on the morning commute, snacks in the back seat and melted candy in the cup holders all leave marks. Spot and stain treatment and fabric shampoo are part of the Full Detail. Heavier or older stains are where the excessive stain removal add-on or the Signature earns its price.
Bugs, Tar, Bird Droppings and Pollen
Summer drives on the Garden State Parkway and Route 9 cover the front bumper and mirrors in bugs, and cars parked near the bay or the beach collect bird droppings. Both can mark the clear coat if they sit too long. Bug and tar removal is included in every Full Detail, along with a hand wash that clears spring pollen from the paint and glass. Dull Paint and Light Swirl Marks
Automatic car washes and dry wiping leave fine circular scratches that show up in direct sun. A One-Step Paint Correction reduces light swirls and brings back gloss; the Two-Step is for heavier swirls. Ceramic coating after polishing helps the finish stay cleaner between washes.

We don’t charge by the hour. Each package has a fixed price by vehicle size, shown before you book. Time on site depends on the size and condition of the car, and the booking summary shows an estimated duration.
Are mobile car detailing services worth it?
For most people the value is time. You get a hand wash and a full interior clean without driving to a shop, waiting or arranging a ride. With us, the trade-off is that you provide an outdoor water supply and an electrical outlet.
Do mobile detailers use the customer’s water and electricity?
Some carry their own water tanks and generators, and some use the customer’s. Xclusive Detail Spa currently uses your outdoor water supply and a standard outlet, so please make sure both are available near the car.
How much does interior car detailing cost in Ocean County?
Interior work is part of both packages, starting at $149 for a coupe or sedan. For heavy pet hair, stains, odors or sand, the Signature ($199 to $299) includes extraction and odor treatment, or you can add single items to the Full Detail from $15.
Do you offer a mobile car wash?
Not as a wash-only visit. Every one-time package includes both interior and exterior work. The Maintenance Refresh plan, every two weeks from $119, is the closest option to a regular mobile wash.
How often should you get your car fully detailed?
Many drivers book a full detail every few months, and more often with pets, young kids or long daily commutes. For shore drivers, a detail after summer to clear sand and another after winter to clear salt is a sensible rhythm. If you want the car kept clean all year, a bi-weekly or monthly plan keeps it on a schedule.
Do you detail SUVs, trucks and vans?
Yes. Cars, SUVs, trucks and vans are priced by size on the booking form. Exotics, RVs, motorhomes and motorcycles get a custom quote by phone or email.
Can you remove scratches or fix paint damage?
Machine polishing reduces light swirls, haze and fine marks, and the Two-Step Paint Correction handles heavier swirls. We don’t offer paint repair or bodywork, so deep scratches, chips and dents need a body shop.
Should I tip for a car detail?
Tips are never required and aren’t built into our prices. If you would like to tip, that is your call.
